§17:332 (Louisiana Revised Statutes)

Data base; plans of high school students.

Summary: See all of statute which establishes that the state Department of Education establish, maintain, and manage a data base containing high school students' plans for themselves after leaving high school. The statute further specifies what information the data base will contain and who will be allowed access to the data base.


§17:334 (Louisiana Revised Statutes)

Status of information; rights of students.

Summary: See all of statute which states that all information in the High School Students Data Base is confidential and can only be released to certain institutions, the students themselves, or their parents or guardians.


§17:391.4 (Louisiana Revised Statutes)

Pupil proficiency; student scores in records. Summary: See (E) which states that individual student test scores on public school accountability and assessment tests shall be exempt from public records.


§17:1947.1 (Louisiana Revised Statutes)

Exceptional children, student records. Summary: See (E)(1) which states that "the provisions of this Section shall be subject to any applicable laws, rules, and regulations relative to confidentiality of records of exceptional children."


§17:3912 (Louisiana Revised Statutes)

The Children First Act:

Progress profiles and data collection. Summary: See (B)(1) which states that data collected on progress profiles on every public school and school system in the state shall be public record.


§17:3921.2 (Louisiana Revised Statutes)

The Children First Act:

Classroom-based Technology Fund; Internet policies.

Summary: See (D)(1)(g) regarding developing appropriate policies regarding the use of the Internet in the classroom and controlling Internet access as one of the requirements for obtaining a technology grant.
